Avery Peak Twinpod, Physaria alpina, growing in an alpine meadow just South of Weston Pass, Mosquito Range, 12,000 Feet, September 6, 2007. Growing on windswept ridge east of summit and in low broadd hollow east of ridge top. Flower width is 10 mm, length is 10 mm, leaves in basal rosette, diameter 50 mm. Leaf length 11 mm, width 6 mm. Substrate is gravel and probably Leafville limestone. |
